National Anti-Ragging Week - " Awareness in Action"

As part of National Anti-Ragging Week - " Awareness in Action", BGSINS students created thought-provoking short movie to raise awareness about ragging. The film highlights the harsh realities and consequences of ragging. Through this initiative, the students aim to promote a culture of respect and empathy within the institution. The movie serves as a powerful tool to educate peers about the importance of maintaining a ragging-free environment. The students effectively convey the message of anti-ragging and its significance.

World Leprosy Day
Leprosy Day is observed globally to honour the memory of Mahatma Gandhi and his efforts. On this occasion BGS Institute of Nursing Sciences, Sasyakashi, conducted role play to raise awareness about leprosy, its eradication, and the importance of unity and collective action in the fight against the disease.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Diwakar Kumar, Associate professor, department medicine, Dr. Komala H K, principal BGSINS and staff members of BGSINS were present. The drive saw an overwhelming response from around 30 public, 4 faculty members, 20 students, and other stakeholders.
The role play was cantered around the theme of "Unite, Act, and Eradicate Leprosy," focusing on breaking the stigma and misconceptions surrounding the disease. The play showcased real-life scenarios of individuals living with leprosy, their struggles in seeking medical care, and how they overcame the challenges with timely intervention and the support of the community.
