Event Report

International Nurses Day was observed to commemorate the valuable contributions of nurses to healthcare and society. The event was graced by Dr. Komala H.K. as Chief Guest, Mr. Sharath S., Vice Principal, and Ms. Divya, Head of the Department. A total of 154 students attended. Although no activities were conducted, the gathering provided an opportunity to recognise and appreciate the dedication and service of nursing professionals.

Objectives

The programme aimed to create awareness among nursing students about the significance of the nursing profession and its role in improving healthcare outcomes, and to inspire students to uphold compassion, professionalism, and commitment in their future careers.

Outcomes

The programme enhanced students’ understanding of the importance of nursing services in society and healthcare systems. It encouraged participants to appreciate the responsibilities and ethical values associated with the profession, while the distinguished guests provided encouragement and professional insight.

Sustainable Development Goal

The observance aligns with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being by recognising nurses’ contributions and promoting awareness of their role in healthcare delivery.
