Event Report

The BGS Institute of Nursing Sciences organized a Food Exhibition Day on 29 July 2026 to encourage creativity, teamwork, and nutritional awareness among students. A total of 34 students participated and were divided into 7 groups, with each group preparing and displaying a variety of delicious and nutritious delicacies. The exhibition showcased attractive food presentations, healthy recipes, and innovative culinary ideas, providing an opportunity for students to demonstrate their knowledge of balanced nutrition and food preparation while enhancing their practical skills.

Objectives

The primary objective of the Food Exhibition Day was to promote awareness about healthy eating habits and balanced nutrition through practical learning. The activity aimed to develop students’ culinary, presentation, communication, and teamwork skills while encouraging creativity, food hygiene, and the importance of selecting nutritious foods for maintaining good health.

Outcomes

The exhibition successfully enhanced students’ understanding of nutrition, food safety, and healthy meal planning. Participants improved their confidence, collaborative skills, and creativity through group participation and food presentation. The event also motivated students to adopt healthier dietary practices and appreciate the role of nutrition in promoting overall health and well-being.
